Aluminum forged bar is a solid aluminum round rod processed by forging process.
High Strength
Aluminum forged bar is formed by die pressing at high temperature. This high pressure forging process makes the internal structure of the metal more compact, thereby improving its strength. For example, the commonly used 6061-T6 aluminum forged rod has a tensile strength of 310 MPa, while ordinary extruded aluminum rods have only about 260 MPa.
Good Fatigue Resistance
During the processing of forged aluminum bars, the metal grains inside them will change from the original disordered state to orderly arrangement along the forging direction. This structure can evenly transmit the external force along its length when the aluminum bar is stressed, avoiding stress concentration at a certain point. Therefore, the fatigue limit of forged aluminum bars is about 40% of the tensile strength, which is 30% higher than that of ordinary aluminum bars.
High Dimensional Accuracy
Aluminum forging bars are produced using special precision molds to make the metal plastically deform in strict accordance with the predetermined size during the forming process, thereby ensuring that each rod has the same size and extremely small errors. The diameter tolerance is controlled within ±0.05mm, which is much smaller than the ±0.1mm of ordinary products on the market.
